We have got 101 beers for your delectation this year for Swansea Camra’s annual Beer & Cider Festival from 22nd-24th August at the Brangwyn Hall.

All 101 beers are listed below with their tasting notes, so you can plan your campaign in advance.

We have sourced the best brews from all over the UK – many never before seen in this area.

Please note, beers are subject to alteration at the last minute. Beers are also subject to availability – and when they’re gone, they’re gone!

Classic pale Amber Bitter, with a light malt base and a spicy fruitiness from the Challanger, Bramling Cross and Chinook hops.

A delightfully hoppy Bitter. Clean & crisp with a light golden refreshing bitter aftertaste.

Ginger Brew     3.6%     S
Classic Ginger Bitter, pale hoppy bitter flavour, with fresh root ginger added at the end.

Gold Beacon     4.2%     G
Deep Golden Ale brewed with Progress and Pioneer hops for a soft yet well-defined bitterness, which balances the blend of malts.

Brewed with an aromatic blend of American hops. Its distinct hop flavour leads to a crisp finish. Champion Bitter of Britain 2007 and 2010.

Multi-award-winning beer. Pale and hoppy with aromas of tropical fruits. Brewed with English barley malt and flavoured with hops, sourced from small-scale growers in the Hallertau.

Plenty of hops are added, including dry hopping, with a touch of wheat to give a creamy head and a tropical fruit and lime peel aroma.

A deep amber bitter, using Crystal and Amber malts for sweetness paired with UK hops and US Cascade hops to accentuate the fruitiness of this session bitter.

Javanilla     5.0%     PS
Coffee and vanilla stout using six malts including oats for a rich body. It is matured in cask with Java espresso coffee beans and vanilla pods to create a rounded and complex flavour.

Pale golden bitter brewed with English and German style malts for a rich flavour. A mix of three hops give a strong citrus aroma and a dry pleasing finish.

A deep, dark ale with a hint of ruby redness. English malts and hops come together to create a thirst quenching, remarkable and mysterious ale.

Old Freddy Walker (V)   7.3%     BW
A rich dark, full – bodied old ale like liquid Christmas pudding savoured all year round. With hints of chocolate, honey, dark roasts and liquorice.

PURPLE MOOSE, Porthmadog, Gwynedd, Wales
Elderflower Ale (Cwrw Ysgawen)  4.0%     S
A refreshing pale ale. Cascade hops are used for aroma, with the added indulgence of Elderflowers, creating a floral bouquet and a sweet citrus finish.

Glaslyn Ale     4.2%         BB
Glaslyn Ale is a golden premium bitter with a sweet, tropical fruit taste. The name comes from the Glaslyn river, which begins among the upper slopes of Mount Snowdon.

Chinook Session Ale    3.5%      PA
Single hop session ale with aromas of melon, berries and orange peel.

Well balanced tawny best bitter. A full-bodied malty backbone is balanced by citrus notes and a clean bitter finish.

Liberally hopped, highly drinkable session India Pale Ale, brewed with Citra, Columbus, Equinox and Mosaic Hops.

Why’s My Beer Hazy?   4.5%     S
This brewery normally only does craft keg beers, but they have brewed a beer exclusively for cask. It is a New England-style pale ale, using Citra, Azacca and Amarillo hops.

Afghan Pale Ale    5.4%     PA
American style pale ale using Cascade, Citra and Simcoe hops. Maris Otter malt provides a light colour and dryness to complement the crisp taste and full aroma of the hops. Awarded Supreme Champion Silver – CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain 2019.

Apollo 50     5.0%     SB
Golden Welsh extra strong bitter brewed with Apollo and Endeavour hops. Brewed in collaboration with Purple Moose.

Chinookan VPA    4.2%     PA
A very pale ale, which has a hoppy finish and distinct spice and pine characteristics with subtle notes of grapefruit from the single “Chinook” hop variety.

Diggers Gold     4.0%     G
Modern award-winning ale, alive with fresh citrus aromas which leave a subtle bitterness. Maris Otter Pale Malt, with US hops.

LITTLE GOAT, Ynysmeudwy, Pontardawe, Wales
Golden Goat (V)    4.3%     G
Single hop (Simcoe) golden ale. Distinctive aroma, smooth, hoppy taste with a floral aroma and dry finish. Unfined.

Jumpin Jack (V)    4.5%         BB
Amber coloured best bitter, initially quite sweet with hints of date and caramel on the finish. Unfined.

PILOT, Mumbles, Swansea, Wales
(The Pilot is a local pub with its own microbrewery and was also the CAMRA Swansea branch Pub of the Year 2018).
Pilot CLXX     4.3%         BB
Brewed to celebrate 170 years of The Pilot. The beer is malt driven although there are plenty of hops to balance it. Four different malts including caramel malt are used to make a tasty brown beer.

Revolver     4.0%     PA
As the name suggests, this beer is brewed with different hops each month. This latest Revolver has been brewed with Nugget and Cascade hops to give citrus and pine with a bitter finish.

RAT, Huddersfield, England
White Rat     4.0%      PA
This very pale, hoppy ale is made from low colour Maris Otter malt. A combination of three American hops produce an intensely aromatic and resinous finish.

SIREN, Wokingham, England
Broken Dream    6.5%     PS
Deep and complex breakfast stout. Binds smoke and coffee aromas with chocolate, milk and oats to create something thick, velvety and slick.

TOMOS WATKIN, Llansamlet, Swansea, Wales
Low Tide     4.0%     PA
Brewed with Maris Otter malt and a selection of juicy American hops, this golden tipple exudes flavours of citrus fruits, a mild bitterness and irresistible aromas of mango and passion fruit.

Swansea Jack     4.0%     PA
A blend of Amarillo, Cascade and Citra hops gives a zesty, citrus taste and a light, fruity aroma. With notes of mango, grapefruit and passion fruit.

Tomos Watkin IPA    4.8%     PA
Brewed using three different malts, this full-bodied golden beer packs a fruity, flavoursome punch bursting with the irresistible aromas of peach, mandarin and apricot.


RHYMNEY, Blaenavon, Wales
Dark      4.0%     M
Hopped with a true stout uppermost in the brewer’s mind. Mellow, yet with a bite.

Export Ale     5.0%     SB
A heady flavour from a combination of six malts all mixed by hand. A characterful ale, full bodied, yet rounded, serious but eminently quaffable.

Hobby Horse     3.8%         BB
Originally brewed in 1879, it very quickly became a thoroughbred. Will this sumptuous injection of nostalgia awaken your senses?

Strong pale ale, balancing exotic fruit character with a modern British hop aroma. Brewed with British and European malts, Cheshire honey, and hopped with Bramling Cross and UK Cascade.

Easy drinking, smooth, creamy, extra pale ale with an interesting malt base and fruity finish.

Black Flag     5.5%     PS
Luxurious smooth Porter with coffee and chocolate notes and a touch of rum sweetness from additions of Pembrokeshire ‘Barti Ddu’ spiced rum.

Son Of A Beach    4.2%      PA
Sessionable and refreshing pale ale full of tropical fruit flavours. Dry hopped with Simcoe, Equanot and Mosaic.

A Red IPA dry hopped with Simcoe and Columbus, and a well balanced malt profile with citrus, apricot and pine notes.

Brewed with six different malts, producing a complex yet elegant beer. Think dark chocolate, coffee and black treacle.

Dafen IPA      6.3%     PA
Caramel malts and a big punch of hops give a whiff of the tropics accompanied by citrus and pine tastes followed by a rugged bitterness.

TUDOR, Llanhilleth, Abertillery, Wales
Black Rock     5.6%     PS
A smooth dark ale made with chocolate malt that tastes as velvety as it looks.

Blorenge      3.8%     G
A light, session ale with a fresh citrus undertone. A good accompaniment to hot spicy dishes.

Green Green Grass of Home  4.0%     S
A new India pale ale brewed with CBD (Cannabis extract).

TWT LOL, Trefforest, Wales
Pretty Fly For a Magpie   5.0%     PA
Brewed with an incredible amount of aroma hops and heavily dry hopped this is a punky-fly IPA. Hops include Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, Citra, Mosaic and Ahtanum. A hint of oats has been added, softening the bitterness.

Tŵti Ffrŵti       4.0%     PA
A light bitter ale. Prominent in the fruity taste are the Mosaic and Chinook hops, which impart a flavour similar to mango and grapefruit. A real pleasure to drink.

WYE VALLEY, Stoke Lacy, Herefordshire, England
Butty Bach     4.5%     G
‘Butty Bach’ is the Welsh term meaning ‘little friend’. This sweet and smooth burnished Golden award-winning ale, is made from Maris Otter and Crystal malts and locally grown Fuggles, Goldings and Bramling Cross hops.

Thirst quenching golden ale, refreshing citrus flavours and the lovely aroma of Cascade hops.

Traditional IPA with a full hoppy flavour. A smell of hedgerow fruits and a rich, malty and sweet taste. A warming, strong Welsh ale.

Lighthouse     4.5%     S
A light thirst-quenching continental style Lager packed with flavour.

Rumour     5.0%     SB
A strong ruby red ale, with complex tastes and aromas, produced from a delicate mix of malts and hops.

Shipwreck     5.0%     G
A golden straw coloured ale with a peppery, fruity aroma and a lush grapefruit, malty flavour with a lingering bitterness.

Supergold     7.0%     G
A fruity, honey flavoured strong ale. The high alcohol content makes this a very warming beer.

MUMBLES, Mumbles, Swansea, Wales
Albina (V)     5.7%     PA
This New World pale is named after the ancient Celtic goddess of barley. It is bountiful, strong but light and finished clean and citrusy, dry hopped with U.S. and New Zealand hops.

Beyond the Pale (V)    4.4%     PA
A very pale ale that is well hopped with a mix of Citra and Cascade hops giving citrus and fruity overtones. One for the hop heads.

Mumbles Gold (V)    4.3%     G
A light, refreshing pale ale, golden in colour. Well hopped, the distinct and bold Styrian Goldings lemon and lime flavours linger well.

Oystermouth Stout    4.4%     S
A rich creamy head and dark roasted malt flavours distinguish this classic stout, with the slightest hint of the sea due to real oysters being added.

TATTON, Knutsford, Cheshire, England
Malt Street Mugger    5.2%     SB
An American brown, double dry hopped and full bodied with an enticing malty, caramel taste and hoppy nose.

Malted Milk     4.6%     PS
A luxurious, full bodied, silky smooth, malty, chocolatey milk stout. A mouthful of a beer.

THORNBRIDGE, Bakewell, Derbyshire, England
Crackendale      5.0%     PA
Single hop Citra pale ale explodes with a tropical fruit aroma, giving way to Guava and ripe citrus which burst through on the palate with a bitter and sweet balance.

Jaipur IPA     5.9%     PA
A citrus dominated IPA, soft and smooth builds to a crescendo of hoppyness with honey. An enduring, bitter finish.

TINY REBEL, Rogerstone, Newport, Wales.
Citra IPA     4.3%     PA
Pale and hazy to the eye, smells like citrus fruits, stone fruits and elderflower. Tastes fresh fruity and citrus soft.

Cwtch      4.6%     BB
Welsh red ale. Citrus and tropical fruit dominate the taste that is backed up with Caramel malts which balance the moderate bitterness. Six malts, two US hops.
